Dear Friends:
As the cold weather rolls in, we hope you will join us in helping to make the holiday season a little warmer for kids in Newark and their families by supporting our community outreach programs.
Many thanks to all who donated to our winter coat drive, especially Church of Christ the King in New Vernon, NJ. They were responsible for collecting over 160 of the 200 coats that we donated to the Dr. E. Alma Flagg School community in Newark.
As our Thanksgiving food drive makes a push over the next two weeks, we invite you to collect food items including: turkeys, mashed potatoes (boxed), gravy, canned vegetables, pasta, stuffing, macaroni & cheese (boxed), rice, cranberry sauce, canned yams, corn bread mix, biscuit mix, cake mixes & frosting, pudding & jello and juices.
Items can be dropped off at our office, or we will schedule to pick up from you. If you live far away but want to get involved, please consider making a monetary donation or donating items to your local foodbank/food pantry on behalf of the Randy Foye Foundation.
On December 22nd we are partnering with other Newark non-profit groups to host a holiday party for kids at Branch Brook Park Skating Rink. Admission is $10 per child, which includes skate rental and food/drink, with each child receiving a present at the end of the night. We hope to have over 1,000 kids attend the party, so help us make this a night to remember by sponsoring a child to attend and/or donating a present. You can also sign up to volunteer at the event by sending an email to Christina Vuocolo at christina@randyfoye.org.
Please browse the site as we have a lot going on this time of year. There are plenty of ways to get involved and also support RFF in your everyday life with something as simple as browsing the internet using the GoodSearch search engine, listing your items for sale with eBay Giving Works, or participating in market research through Survey for Good’s “Pause to Support a Cause” program.
Thanks for your continued support and from our family to yours, Happy Holidays!
Sincerely,
Randy Foye
